Thank you for your willingness to provide sponsorship to a participant in the Elderly Project! You are making a tremendous impact in the life of an at-risk granmoun!
Each month your tax-deductible $35 donation will provide the following to your granmoun:
- 25 pounds of rice
- 2 pounds of beans
- 1 gallon of cooking oil
- garlic and saffron
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Clothes and linens washed regularly
- Weekly fellowship and opportunities to hear the Gospel
It is our goal to provide an update on your granmoun monthly. You have the choice of receiving your update via email or regular mail. Due to Haiti’s unpredictable nature, we are unable to guarantee your monthly update to arrive the same day each month. We will contact you should there be a delay in communication greater than a month. If an urgent situation with your granmoun arises we will get the information to you as soon as possible. We will also inform you as to when we will be visiting Haiti so that you can send a small care package directly to your granmoun. This is by no means a mandatory condition of your sponsorship but simply another opportunity to share the love of Christ with your granmoun. Care packages needn’t be and shouldn’t be extravagant. More information on care packages will be made available closer to our next trip.
We depend on receiving your monthly sponsorship payment by the first of each month so that we have adequate time to send money to Haiti for supplies. There are two ways to make your monthly payment. The first is via a personal handwritten check or check sent directly from your bank. Both handwritten and bank printed checks should be mailed to the address provided here. If you are not familiar with sending checks directly from your bank, we suggest talking to your local branch about this secure, convenient option. In most cases, the payment can set up free of charge as a recurring payment and you will save on the postage fees associated with sending a handwritten check.
If for any reason you are unable or unwilling to continue your sponsorship, please contact us as soon as possible, or at the latest two weeks prior to your next sponsorship payment. We understand that things come up, often unavoidably. Your timely communication will ensure that there will not be a lapse in services to your granmoun.
It is only by God’s grace and provision that Laman Outreach is afforded the privilege of serving the elderly in Haiti. Without support from people like you, the Elderly Project would be just an idea on a page and a prayer in our journals. You are a blessing to both the elderly whom we serve and to each of us. Should you have any additional questions whatsoever, do not hesitate to contact us.
